ANN News Editor Tom Patton spent some time talking with Chris Holder of Concorde Battery while at EAA AirVenture 2013. Tom expressed his concern that general aviation pilots are not flying as much, and this is hard on batteries. He asked Chris what he recommended. Chris recommended one approach is to remove the battery from the aircraft if it’s going to be stored for a long period. He told us to the keep the battery in a cool place for storage and explains why a sealed lead acid battery stores better when it’s cool.

Aero Commander 690C Down In Nashville, TN

Four Family Members Fatally Injured In Accident

A plane identified by the FAA as an Aero Commander 690C carrying four members of the same family went down Monday in Nashville, TN, resulting in the fatal injury of all four people on board.
