Airports to See Reinforced Fencing, Runway Cleaning to Weather the Elements

The Canadian government is investing half a million into the aeronautical ecosystem in Norther Ontario, enhancing safety with improvements to grounds and equipment. The funding will be issued under Transport Canada's Airports Capital Assistance Program, issuing $382,500 to the Moosonee Airport and $163,625 to the Greater Sudbury Airport. Moosonee will put their money towards a new grader, which will prove exceedingly useful while they control snow and ice buildup along movement areas during the harsh winter months.
