GAMA Publishes Third Quarter 2020 Aircraft Shipments and Billings Report

GAMA has released its report of general aviation aircraft shipments and billings through the third quarter of 2020. Piston airplane deliveries increased slightly, while turboprop, business jet and helicopter deliveries declined through the first nine months of 2020 as compared to the same period of 2019. NTSB Prelim: Piper PA32

The Airplane Experienced A Loss Of Engine Power Shortly After Takeoff

On November 8, 2020, about 1430 Eastern Standard Time, a Piper PA-32-300 airplane, N33DW, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Circleville, Ohio. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to initial information obtained by the responding Federal Aviation Administration inspecter, the airplane experienced a loss of engine power shortly after takeoff. Due to the low altitude during the loss of engine power, the pilot performed a forced landing straight ahead and came to rest in a field.
