Showcasing the Triumphs of Disabled Flyers

Inspirational videos celebrating the remarkable stories of disabled people whose lives have been changed for the better after discovering the magic and wonder of flight through charity Aerobility are at the center of a new on-line campaign. The "Flying Stars" video series will shine a spotlight on the journeys of disabled individuals who have discovered their passion for flying and achieved their dreams of becoming aviators. Each Flying Star comes from diverse backgrounds and has conquered personal challenges with the power of flight.

Helicopter Maker Dedicates James Bournonville R&D Center

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation’s experimental hangar now bears the name of Jim Bournonville, a long-time employee of the Michigan-based designer and manufacturer of piston and turbine helicopters. Mr. Bournonville was born and raised in Menominee, Michigan—Enstrom’s home town and base of operations—and went to work for the helicopter-maker in 1968. Companies Eying Inchoate Indian Air Mobility Market

In June, 2023, SkyDrive Inc., an eVTOL concern based in Toyota City in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture, and the Suzuki Motor Corporation entered into a partnership by which a SkyDrive-designed eVTOL aircraft known as the SD-05 will be built by Suzuki in a Japanese plant owned by the multinational mobility manufacturer. Per the provisions of the partnership agreement, the aforementioned plant will manufacture up to one-hundred SD-05 eVTOLs per-year. Production is slated to commence in spring 2024.
