Cessna confirmed this week reports that surfaced earlier this
month -- the planemaker must shed an additional 2,000 jobs over
previous estimates, bringing announced job losses to date to around
4,600.
Robinson Helicopter Company managed to defy the odds as 2008
drew to a close, producing even more helicopters for civil use than
the Torrance, CA company accomplished in record-setting 2007.

Student Researcher of the Year in the FAA's Center of Excellence
(COE) for General Aviation.
Schweizer Aircraft announced this week the delivery of a new
300C helicopter to Longhorn Helicopters, a Denton, TX flight
training school. This new helicopter becomes the fifth Schweizer
300C in the Longhorn fleet.
