Celebrating the Young Eagles Program’s 30th anniversary, the EAA has loaded the year with fun activities. Following the launch of the program at this year’s AirVenture 2022, the organization kicked off its “Young Eagles 30 Flight for 30 Years”, which will award a commemorative Young Eagles anniversary themed polo shirt to all aviators who fly 30 program participants from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022. For purpose of keeping its robust tri-jet in step with technology’s relentlessly up-tempo march, Dassault has worked with the FAA to develop a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) authorizing Falcon 900B aircraft to be retrofitted with Universal Avionics’ InSight Flight Deck. In addition to adding significantly to the Falcon 900B’s mission capabilities, the InSight STC—by replacing five weighty cathode-ray tubes and three symbol-generators with comparatively dainty Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD)—increases aircraft payload by over two-hundred-pounds.
