Volunteers Hope Event Will Honor "Man Who Inspired Seaplane
Some Glenn Curtiss Museum volunteers have been hard at work
lately in the museum's Restoration Shop in Hammondsport, NY,
recreating the Curtiss flying boat "America" that became the
prototype for the first anti-submarine patrol plane in Britain's
Royal Navy air service.
The Vietnam Helicopter Flight Crew Network is a non profit
veteran's organization dedicated to the fulfillment of the
following purposes: To provide a forum for recreational
communications amongst a fraternity of aircrew members who served
in Vietnam during the period 1961-75.
"The current level of oversight does not provide
assurance that air carriers are meeting congressionally-mandated
goals of tripling the amount of cargo screened for passenger
aircraft... Consequently, the process increases opportunities for
the carriage of explosives, incendiaries, and other dangerous
devices on passenger aircraft."
