On Oshkosh Friday, AeroShell Square was ringed with some of the best-known business aircraft flying, as EAA President Tom Poberezny, GAMA President Pete Bunce, FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt, his predecessor (and current AIA Prez) Marion Blakey, and a parade of professionals brought the message of business aviation to the worlds largest sport aviation show.

Tokyo Convention (September 14, 1963) Formally called the Convention on Offenses and Certain Other Acts Committed on Board Aircraft. This Convention is concerned with insuring that when an offense has been committed onboard an aircraft, at least one state - that in which the aircraft is registered - will take jurisdiction over the suspected offender...

Aero-Linx: Sonic Boom (USAF Fact Sheet) Sonic boom is an impulsive noise similar to thunder. It is caused by an object moving faster than sound -- about 750 miles per hour at sea level. An aircraft traveling through the atmosphere continuously produces air-pressure waves similar to the water waves caused by a ship's bow. When the aircraft exceeds the speed of sound, these pressure waves combine and form shock waves which travel forward from the generation or "release" point...
