The president has signed the FAA reauthorization bill which includes legislation that will change third class medical requirements for many thousands of pilots. The bill is less than long-term, and did not address certain key issues that the aviation industry was looking for, but it is generally considered to be a step in the correct direction. The Solar Impulse-2 has one more leg to fly to complete its journey around the world.
