The president has signed the FAA reauthorization bill which includes legislation that will change third class medical requirements for many thousands of pilots. The bill is less than long-term, and did not address certain key issues that the aviation industry was looking for, but it is generally considered to be a step in the correct direction. A team of astronomers have used the SPHERE instrument on ESO’s Very Large Telescope to image the first planet ever found in a wide orbit inside a triple-star system.
