ANN's Daily Aero-Term (12.24.20): Visual Climb Over Airport (VCOA)

Visual Climb Over Airport (VCOA) A departure option for an IFR aircraft, operating in visual meteorological conditions equal to or greater than the specified visibility and ceiling, to visually conduct climbing turns over the airport to the published “climb-to” altitude from which to proceed with the instrument portion of the departure. VCOA procedures are developed to avoid obstacles greater than 3 statute miles from the departure end of the runway as an alternative to complying with climb gradients greater than 200 feet per nautical mile. However, we have removed the following content from YouTube: Thumbnail on video.” Source: Quoted from an inexplicably bizarre YouTube email claim in which a picture of an airplane, minus any people or other potentially offensive content was labeled in violation of their sex and nudity policy... even though the ONLY thing in the picture was an all-white hydrogen-fueled prototype airplane sans much additional adornment--which may qualify as naked... Are 'naked airplanes' offensive? Crazy, eh?
