As noted in ANN's coverage from this year's eventful (and
exceptionally well-run) AOPA Expo, few companies seemed to be as
aggressive about the GA market as Diamond Aircraft. ANN spent some
time with the folks at Diamond in looking over their plans for the
DA40 series, while the Aero-TV crew crawled over and through
the newest Diamond in the sky.
"With this year being the 60th anniversary of the U.S.
Air Force, we believe this donation is truly fitting as it depicts
a significant event in Air Force history. It's also fitting to
be displayed in the museum. Our mission is to be 'the keeper of
their stories' and this painting truly enhances the story, the
history and the significance of the people who were a part of
Operation Sun Run."
