Storied German Aerobatic Marque Expands Stateside

In autumn 2022, EXTRA founder and CEO Walter Extra announced the formation of EXTRA Aircraft USA LP. The facility will be based at the DeLand Airport (DED) in DeLand, Florida, and provide factory-authorized parts and maintenance support to all North American EXTRA aircraft owners. Additionally, the entirety of new EXTRA aircraft bound for North America will be received at DeLand and verified fit for delivery by factory-trained and authorized staff.

In a move that speaks to the ongoing deterioration of Russia’s global standing, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)—a United Nations agency established to study, regulate, and standardize world aeronautics—has resolved to expel Russia from its governing body. High Stakes and Short Time

In a high-level letter, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has warned Boeing that documents the plane-maker provided for certification of its 737 MAX-7 model are woefully inadequate.
