Ampaire Receives Order for up to Fifty Eco Caravans

Hybrid-Electric Workhorse on Track for 2024 Certification

Ampaire, the Los Angeles-based designer and manufacturer of hybrid-electric aeronautical wizardry, has received a firm order for 25 of the company’s Eco Caravans from MONTE, a financier of sustainable regional aviation technologies. Antelope Island Helicopter Tragedy to be Commemorated

30th Anniversary Observance Honors Lost Servicemen

On 29 October 2022 at 10:00 MDT, a number of U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army nonprofit organizations will host an observance of the 30th anniversary of the Antelope Island tragedy, in which 12 lives were lost when a USAF Pave Hawk helicopter went down in inclement weather. The hosting group includes the Combat Control Foundation, Air Commando Association, Combat Control Association, 75th Ranger Regiment Association, Three Rangers Association, and US Army Ranger Association.

“During the examination of the airplane wreckage, the clamp nut that attaches the top eye end and bearing assembly of the horizontal stabilizer actuator to the actuator barrel had unscrewed from the barrel. The examination also found that the circular wire lock ring, which was designed to prevent the clamp nut from unscrewing, was not present.
