NTSB, Viking, Urge Immediate Inspection of DHC-3 Empennage Assembly

Service Letter Published to Address Possible Issue with Pitch Control Assembly

The NTSB has issued an expected service letter regarding the De Havilland Canada DHC-3 after finding a possible cause in the course of investigation regarding the September Mutiny Bay Crash. The NTSB urgently recommends that operators conduct “an immediate one-time inspection of the horizontal stabilizer actuator lock ring in accordance with the instructions in the Viking Air Limited service letter and report their findings to the FAA and Transport Canada, respectively.

Legacy Bombardier Sees Cabin Obsolescence solution for In-Flight Entertainment Suite

Flightstar Corporation and Alto Aviation have delivered the first Alto Cadence Cabin Management System for the Bombardier Learjet 45 series aircraft, tending the aircraft to its owner with the custom-tailored improvement. The Cadence suite was installed with a series of cabin switch panels taken from the Alto lineup for perfect fit throughout the cabin. The curved and contoured seats were provided with formed panels all around, improving the built-in jacks with modern USB Type-C charging ports all around.
