Aero-News has learned Grace Flight of America (GFA) and the
Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) recently joined forces, resulting in
the establishment of the premier national charitable flying
organization.
'Living Legends of Aviation' Will Be Held January 22
The 6th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards will take
flight on January 22 at the Beverly Hilton. Harrison Ford will
receive with the Legends Aviation Legacy Award for his countless
hours of service introducing thousands of young people to
flight.
May 10 1940, the invasion of The Netherlands. German bombers
took off to cripple the Dutch airfields. At the airport Waalhaven
of Rotterdam, the N.V. Koolhoven Aeroplanes was their first
target.
The Low Altitude Parachute Extraction System is not currently in
use by the US Air Force (USAF) or the US Army. LAPES is one of the
three methods used for Aerial Delivery.
"We need to take steps now to help flyers avoid
gridlock at LaGuardia this summer. These voluntary reductions will
provide immediate relief while efforts continue on long-term
solutions to aviation congestion in New York."

Peters. Airlines operating at New York’s LaGuardia Airport
will have until February 2 to tell the US Department of
Transportation which flights they will voluntarily give up in order
to reduce congestion at the airport.
