Association's Air Charter Operators Town Halls Reveal Critical Industry Challenges
NATA has announced the resolution of a compliance issue stopping air charter operators from adding certain Pilatus PC-12 aircraft to their certificates. Guidance documents published today now offer charter operators a clear pathway to utilizing these aircraft.
Australian Companies To Convert 10 UH-60 Helicopters
In a ground-breaking new deal, Kaan Air Australia, Sikorsky and StarFlight Australia, have signed an agreement worth up to AUD $63 million (approx. $50 million U.S.) to bring 10 Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters into Australia, with options for an additional 10 aircraft.
The FAA and EASA have awarded type certification and production certification to Williams International for the FJ44-4A-QPM engine, and production deliveries have begun. Two of these turbofan engines power the new Pilatus PC-24 Super Versatile Jet that will begin deliveries later this year. These engines are rated for normal takeoff thrust of 3435 lbf at ISA+8°C, and more than 5% added thrust is available if needed through a new Automatic Thrust Reserve feature.
