Wingcopter to Expand Operations

German eVTOL Manufacturer to Bring Home the Bacon

Wingcopter, the German aerospace company that designs and manufactures unmanned eVTOL delivery drones, announced on 21 June 2022 that it had secured a $42-million series A extension that will help the company expand its purview into market segments such as grocery and consumer-good delivery. To date, Wingcopter has operated primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, delivering medical supplies to rural areas.

Honda and FlightSafety Extend HondaJet Training Agreement

Twenty-Five-Year Deal Implies Mutual Confidence

Honda Aircraft Company has dramatically extended its partnership with FlightSafety International. The two companies announced a unique, twenty-five-year agreement that will see FlightSafety provide ground-school and simulator training to HondaJet (HA-420) pilots through 2047. The deal sets a strong, long-term commitment to aviation while building on an existing 15-year relationship that, to date,  has trained and certified more than 600 HA-420 pilots.

Air Nostrum Group to Acquire HAV Airlander Airships

HAV Optimism …

Hybrid Air Vehicles Limited (HAV), the British manufacturer of hybrid airships, announced it has received its first commercial order from an airline group. The deal will see Air Nostrum Group, the European transportation conglomerate, take delivery of ten of HAV’s Airlander airships. Originally developed as the HAV 304, the Airlander is a hybrid airship comprising a primary helium vessel fitted out with auxiliary wing and tail surfaces. The craft develops lift by both aerostatic and aerodynamic means. Inflight thrust is provided by four diesel engine-driven, ducted propellers.
