(ACI-NA) Chairman’s Honor’s and 60th Anniversary
Luncheon, held on September 24 during the ACI World/North America
Conference and Exhibition in Boston, more than 500 attendees
applauded the winners of ACI-NA’s awards and recognized
accomplishments of ACI-NA’s past 60 years.

Delta and Northwest Airlines have checked off another big box on
their to-do list in preparation for a merger. The Detroit News
reports the FAA has given the two carriers its blessing
to combine operations within the next 15-18
months.
The infamous napping go! Airlines pilots, who fell asleep en
route to Hilo, HI on a short flight from Honolulu on the morning of
February 13, have both completed their suspensions by the FAA and
may return to flight duty... though it's unclear whether another
airline would hire them.

The US Department of Transportation proposed Tuesday to name
Evergreen International Airlines as a new all-cargo entrant in the
US-China aviation market. Evergreen, if granted final
authority, will operate six round-trip flights per week to Shanghai
from New York with additional traffic stops in Chicago, Dallas/Fort
Worth and Columbus, OH.
