Gateway Rotor Transition Program Opens to Transition US Military Helo Pilots to Company

JetBlue has opened up its 8th program under the "Gateway" series of initiatives, this time taking aim at military pilots of rotary-wing aircraft as a base of future company pilots. The Gateway Rotor Transition Program offers a "prescribed talent pathway" for trained military helo personnel, allowing them to "transition their existing expertise as helicopter pilots and acquire the necessary skills and certifications needed to join JetBlue as a first officer." Technicians, Stores, Admin Maintenance Staff Turn out at 75.5% Approval Rate

Allegiant Air ratified a new contract agreement with a 2-year extension to the union’s collective bargaining agreement, affecting the carrier’s line and heavy maintenance technicians, stores employees, and a core of administrators in the field. The union was represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, who led the way on the CBA. The new contract was ratified by Allegiant personnel to the tune of 75.5%, representing the majority of the company’s 683 maintenance personnel.
