Ruling Applies To All Federally Regulated Employees, Including Pilots and Other Aviation Workers

Transport Canada announced a vaccine mandate for all federal employees, workers in federally regulated industries (such as pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics, dispatchers, etc.), and many traveling individuals. Capt. FAA Implements More Efficient, Safer Flight Routes for South-Central Florida

South-Central Florida Metroplex Initiative Will Optimize Aircraft Arrival And Departure Procedures

On Aug. 12, the FAA went live with the second phase of new air traffic routes and procedures that improve the safety and efficiency of airspace in South-Central Florida. The project, often referred to as the South-Central Florida Metroplex initiative, will optimize aircraft arrival and departure procedures to and from 21 airports. New routes include changes in aircraft flight paths and altitudes in certain areas, but would not increase the number of aircraft operations at any of the airports. It is one of 11 Metroplex projects nationwide to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in major metropolitan areas across the country.

AD 2021-17-07 Requires Inspecting For Damage Of The Left And Right MF Fuel Line Assemblies

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by the potential for the flexible hose assembly of the fuel motive flow (MF), installed between the pylon and wing, to be installed twisted in the shroud, which can restrict the flow of fuel for the MF and cause fuel imbalance and damage to the shroud assembly.
