American Airlines Subsidiary Aims for 100-Strong Fleet by 2023
American Airlines signed a firm order with Embraer for 3 additional E175s for addition to their subsidiary carrier Envoy Air. Their fleet, when counting deliveries to be made through the rest of this year, will come to more than 100 aircraft. The contract for the new planes is valued at $160.2 million if made at list price. The regional jet has consistently been a solid performer with the two carriers, going back decades to their initial purchase, said Mark Neely.
