The United States Senate has confirmed Pete Buttigieg as Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary, following his nomination by President Biden. Much of the aviation industry has been falling all over itself to congratulate the new SecTrans despite the fact that this particular Secretary has a less than impressive record or actually working knowledge of the transportation industry... having served as Mayor of a medium-sized city being the primary experience being touted by his adherents.
