Alleges Company Operated An Aircraft Without Proper
Maintenance
The FAA is proposing a $585,725 civil penalty against Corporate
Air of Billings, MT, for allegedly operating a Shorts SD-3-30
twin-turboprop cargo aircraft when it was not in compliance with
Federal Aviation Regulations.
The FAAs Pilot Records Database Aviation Rule Making Committee
(ARC) which held its first meeting on Tuesday includes members of
the APA Teamsters Local 1224.
Company Says Engine Exceeded Expectations In Nearly 200 Hours
Of Testing
Initial ground testing on the first PurePower PW1000G series
engine, the PW1524G engine for the Bombardier CSeries aircraft, has
been completed by Pratt & Whitney. The company said the engine
completed nearly 200 hours of ground tests at the company's West
Palm Beach, FL. facility.

The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) commended the
leadership of House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
Chairman John Mica Wednesday for passing an FAA reauthorization
bill that it says enables airlines to compete globally without
additional taxes and regulatory burdens.
Two TSA agents assigned to security at Kennedy International
Airport have been arrested on charges of stealing $40,000 from
a piece of checked luggage. The bag reportedly contained $170,000
cash.
