The ExpressJet Airlines pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), have been notified that United Airlines announced the award of 25 new Embraer E175-SC aircraft to ExpressJet as part of a deal that also includes the sale of ExpressJet from SkyWest Inc. to ManaAir LLC, in which United Airlines will own a minority interest. The sale is expected to be complete in early 2019.
Carrier Has Four More Scheduled For Delivery In 2019
Embraer recently celebrated the delivery of its 1,500th E-Jet, an E175, to Seattle-based Horizon Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, Inc. Horizon Air’s E175 is configured with 12 seats in first class, 12 in premium class and 52 in the main cabin. By the end of the year, Horizon will have a fleet of 26 E175 with four more jets scheduled for delivery in 2019.
Republic Airways Holdings Inc., the world’s largest operator of E-Jet aircraft, announced today that it has finalized a firm order for 100 E175 aircraft with Embraer, which originally was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in Farnborough, England, earlier this year. With this firm order, Republic is in position to begin accepting deliveries during the second half of 2020.

The arrival into service of the next-generation 11 seat P2012 Traveller is much anticipated by many airlines, who have been demanding a replacement for the many hundreds of ‘heritage’ aeroplanes in the FAR 23/CS23 category currently in service around the world, and is set to open many profitable opportunities in the Short Haul transportation segment.
