Inspired by the New York Port Authority’s vote on September 27 to raise the minimum wage for 40,000 workers at JFK, La Guardia, and Newark airports to $19—which will be the highest minimum wage in U.S. history, once approved—airport workers are jointly announcing worldwide demonstrations set to take place at more than 40 airports in 13 countries on October 2 to put airlines like United (UAL) on notice and call for fair wages, union rights, and safe workplaces in every country.

FLIR Systems Awarded FAA Contract With Ceiling Value Of $94.3 Million

Will Support Mobile Surveillance Capability Program

FLIR Systems has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the FAA Logistics Center (FAALC) in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Mobile Surveillance Capability (MSC) program. The IDIQ contract has a ceiling value of $94.3 million with a first order of $12.2 million on contract to provide Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) mounted on MSC vehicles, including FLIR TacFLIR 380, FLIR R20SS radar, FLIR Cameleon management software, power storage and management systems, and other electro-mechanical sub systems to support the MSC vehicles.
