Comcast will partner with the Aerial Sports League to host The Xfinity California Drone Speed Challenge – Level 2. Starting this month, drone pilot teams will compete in a multi-week, eSports-style “virtual qualifier” series through the VelociDrone racing simulator while winning teams will move on to compete, live, on July 19 for the championship at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. A $25,000 prize purse is up for grabs as the fastest drone teams compete in California’s biggest drone racing event. National Air and Space Museum To Hold 'Asteroid Day' Event June 30

Programs Will Be Offered In Washington, D.C. And Online

The National Air and Space Museum will host “Asteroid Day: Defending Planet Earth” June 30 at the museum in Washington, D.C., and online. A panel of asteroid experts will discuss the threats asteroids pose and how to protect the Earth from the danger they may cause. This is part of the global “Asteroid Day” event, marking the 110th anniversary of the largest impact-related incident in modern history.

Facilitates Data Sharing Between The Two Entities

Airbus and Planet have entered into a partnership to facilitate access to each other’s data and the co-development of new geospatial solutions, by establishing a framework agreement to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in new and existing markets, product offerings, sales and marketing efforts. Both partners aim at providing a comprehensive suite of global satellite data at multiple temporal and spatial resolutions, and developing new analytic products for a wide range of applications to the benefit of their customers.
