The FAA has accepted an application for a type certificate from Workhorse Group for the SureFly eVTOL aircraft. The SureFly design appears to be the first hybrid-electric eVTOL multi-copter to reach this milestone with the FAA. SureFly has been designed to be easy to operate

Department of Interior Will Use The Company On A 'Call When Needed' Basis

Bridger Aerospace is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Interior ("DOI") to supply unmanned service support for wildland fire management on a "call when needed" basis.  The five-year IDIQ contract, which is the first of its kind awarded by DOI, will allow DOI to deploy contractor-operated and maintained small unmanned air systems ("UAS") that are ready when needed to support wildland fire operations, search and rescue, emergency management and other resource missions in the Continental United States and Alaska.

A bill reported out of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee calls for a $2.4 million increase for the FAA's Office of Commercial Space Transportation.
