New Engineering Design Challenge Builds On Great Moonbuggy Race

NASA is debuting a new engineering design challenge to engage students worldwide in the next phase of human space exploration. The NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge is a more complex follow-on to the successful NASA Great Moonbuggy Race. The competition is open to high school and college students and challenges them to create a vehicle designed to traverse the simulated surface of another world.

Atlas V Rocket Successfully Launches Payload For The NRO

NROL-39 Mission Boosted From Vandenberg AFB Thursday Night

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying a payload for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) lifted off from Space Launch Complex-3 at Vandenberg AFB in California on Dec. 5 at 2314 PST. Designated NROL-39, the mission is in support of national defense.
