NASA Continues Workshop To Discuss Asteroid Initiative Ideas

Session To Be Held Next Week In Houston

NASA has rescheduled its Asteroid Synthesis Workshop, a public forum to examine and synthesize 96 of the ideas submitted to a Request for Information (RFI) about the agency's asteroid initiative. The workshop will be held Nov. 20 - 22 at the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, and is a continuation of the workshop originally scheduled for Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, which was ended early because of the partial government shutdown.

The saga of Solberg Airport in Readington, New Jersey continues. We reported last week about 500 residents and airport supporters attended a meeting of the Readington Township Committee held for the purpose of allowing public comment and Committee deliberation on an ordinance concerning embattled Solberg Airport. The city wants to condemn the privately owned airport and take it over under eminent domain laws. AMR Corporation and US Airways Group announced Tuesday that the airlines have settled the litigation brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, six states, and the District of Columbia challenging the merger of American Airlines and US Airways. A ceremo
