Upgraded: Steve Fushelberger

Named Cessna's New Vice President, Marketing

Cessna Aircraft Company says it's named Steve Fushelberger vice president of marketing effective Sept. 26, 2005. He will report to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Roger Whyte.

"I am pleased to have Steve lead the marketing function for our company," Whyte said. "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of marketing, as well as a deep understanding of our industry. He has a strong commitment to deliver the highest caliber of customer satisfaction."

Phil Michel, current vice president of marketing, will remain at Cessna until his retirement in April 2006. "For the past 30 years, Phil has played a key role in our company's growth and success," Whyte said. "We appreciate his willingness to remain at Cessna and continue to provide guidance as Steve transitions into his new role. All of us at Cessna are extremely grateful for Phil's outstanding contributions, his dedication and his leadership, not only to our company, but to the whole of general aviation."

Prior to joining Cessna, Fushelberger served as vice president of public affairs for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and as vice president of marketing communications for the Avolar division of United Airlines. He also held marketing communications positions at Rolls-Royce Corporation and Agusta Aerospace.

He has a bachelor's of science in marketing from Indiana University, and is a commercial pilot with multi-engine, instrument and seaplane ratings, and more than 1,500 flight hours.
