Wyoming Air National Guard’s 2020 Wild West Air Show Cancelled

Only A Few Airshows Appear To Remain On Schedule For 2020... Only A Few

And yet another airshow has had to put itself off to 2021... the WY ANG has announced that in light of continued concern over the COVID-19 virus, it is with regret that the difficult decision has been made to cancel the Wyoming Air National Guard’s 2020 Wild West Airshow scheduled for Sept. 11-13.

“Every year, we look forward to opening up our base and connecting with our incredibly supportive community,” said Col. Barry Deibert, commander, 153rd Airlift Wing. “It is our sincere desire to host the Wild West Airshow once again in 2021. On behalf of the Airmen of the 153rd Airlift Wing, thank you for your continued support.”

Last year, in July, the Wild West Air Show partnered with the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebrations and resulted in the ANG's first major airshow since 2011.

The 2019 show featured the Thunderbirds, the USN Leap Frogs, a host of current military flybys as well as historical warbird displays, a WY ANG MAFFS C-130 water drop, several civilian airshow acts, and CAF participation.
