SkyVector Rolls Out 'World FBO Directory'

New Guide Builds On SkyVector’s Online Charts, Weather, And Airport Data

SkyVector has launched its World FBO Directory, which is projected into its popular online chart viewer. Pilots around the world use SkyVector’s service to view worldwide aeronautical charts, while making use of flight planning services and graphical weather depictions offered by the site. The new World FBO Directory integrates into SkyVector’s mapping interface, displaying real-time fuel prices on the charts in relevant currencies and units of measure. Users can filter for FBO’s features and facilities including participation in fuel card programs or amenities offered.

Participation is free, and SkyVector community members can provide up-to-date fuel prices for unmanaged/unclaimed FBO’s. FBO’s can manage their profile and offer guaranteed fuel prices to improve visibility with an affordable upgrade. “The basic free listing is incredibly powerful, helping pilots discover FBO’s in places they may never have thought to look.” David Graves, founder of SkyVector said. Adding, “As operators see how efficiently SkyVector brings airplanes to ramps at participating FBO’s, we anticipate enthusiastic participation worldwide.”

International in scope, all information in the SkyVector World FBO Directory will be freely accessible, with no embargoed information. SkyVector’s open information policy driven by vested stakeholders helps ensure high quality information throughout.

Founded in 2005 offering free online FAA charts and flight planning tools for the U.S., SkyVector broadened scope in 2012 by expanding coverage worldwide with their proprietary rendering of global airspace. SkyVector followed with the SkyVector World Airport Directory, providing users with quick access to complete Airport information.
