NGC Secures Ground To Air Communication Requirements For Polish Airports

Installations Will Be Completed By The End Of The Year

Following the installation of ATM equipment at four remote ground stations (Sieradz, Radom, G?bin and Brzesko) in 2017, PANSA has now added almost 30 locations to be equipped with Sapphire ATM communication systems. All of the installations will be completed by the end of 2018.

“PANSA is a very discerning customer; they know exactly what they need and the Sapphire solution fits their technical requirements,” said Danny Milligan, managing director, Park Air Systems, Northrop Grumman. “With full backwards compatibility, unrivalled connectivity, scalability and security for voice and data, the Park Air T6 radio checks all the boxes of modern airspace communication.”

The Park Air T6 radio is the lightest and smallest radio of its kind in the ATM market. Its size offers greater utility of space as well as lower shipping costs. Combined with a design that makes it the most power efficient available, the complete lack of hazardous materials and a host of other technical features, this new radio meets the most demanding specifications set by airports worldwide.

PANSA maintenance engineers received their training at the Park Air Systems Academy prior to delivery. This modern, bespoke facility near Peterborough has been given ratings of “exceeds expectations” from trainees since its opening in 2016.
