CAV Aerospace Installs 100th Cessna 400 TKS System

Offers Peace-Of-Mind During Inadvertant Icing Encounters

CAV Aerospace recently installed its 100th TKS system on the world's fastest fixed-gear aircraft, the Cessna 400 Corvalis TT and its predecessors.

Including factory installations on new aircraft and after-market installations, 100 of the sleek model 400 aircraft now can fly with the proprietary TKS system. The 100th system was installed by CAV Aerospace, Inc. at its Salina, KS facilities on a model 400 owned by Chris Leevers of Castle Rock, CO.

Leevers uses the airplane primarily to fly to Leevers Supermarkets in Denver, Dallas and Casper, WY. Flying in the mountains as he does, ice protection is important to him.

"My new CAV Ice Protection System provides peace of mind and increases the flexibility of my 400 when flying in the mountains for business," Leevers said.

CAV Aerospace has installed ice protection systems on aircraft offered by a number of manufacturers, including Cessna, Cirrus, Hawker Beechcraft, Diamond, and Quest.
