Bendix/King Expands myWingMan App, Teams With Rob Holland

1.1 Software Update Provides New Levels of Flight Planning, Navigation, Efficiency and Situational Awareness

Honeywell's Bendix/King division has revealed that you can now 'touch and go' even farther with the new myWingMan iPad app software version 1.1 update.

This iPad app software upgrade can be downloaded at the Apple app store. Pilots can download a free 60 day trial of the app, also at the Apple app store.

The myWingMan app now supports Attitute and Heading Reference sensors (AHRS), delivers improved user interfaces and provides greater flight planning flexibility. It also brings new, remarkable levels of flight planning, navigation, efficiency and situational awareness into the cockpit. The update makes myWingMan even more simple, intuitive and powerful, with multiple improvements over the initial release, including:

  • Support for external AHRS sensors
  • Multiple programmable aircraft profiles during flight planning
  • Enhanced user interface for flight planning, including the support of Standard Instrument Arrival and Departure procedures (SIDs & STARs), Victor Airways and a moving navigation log
  • Increased stability in preset modes, user account access and chart data display

This update, combined with the "Touch and Go" simplicity of features such as advanced synthetic vision, flight plan filing, smart routing and flexible, split-screen views put the very latest in flight planning right at a pilot’s fingertips.

“Pilots using the myWingMan iPad app are not only getting a powerful aid to ease the workload in the cockpit, but they are getting a product designed for continuous add on functionality; one that just keeps getting better, the longer they use it,” said Jeff Simon, Director, Strategic Marketing for Bendix/King.
