Civil Helicopter Market To Reach $7.4 Billion In 2014

Substantial Demand For Civilian Helicopter Expected To Remain Strong

Civilian helicopters remain highly valuable for the unique capabilities they provide to companies, individuals and local governments, according to a new report available on ASDReports, which has forecast the global market for the aircraft to reach $7.4 billion in 2014.

Analysts expect substantial demand for civil helicopters to continue to exist over the ten years forecast in its report. However, this demand will be tempered by acquisition and operational costs, as well as economic uncertainty in some parts of the world, although there are also strong new markets emerging.

The author of the Civil Helicopter Market Forecast 2014-2024: Commercial Prospects for Top Rotorcraft Companies report commented that “The Global Civil Helicopter Market experienced rapid decline between 2008 and 2010, due to the worldwide economic recession. However in the past years, the formidable recovery in this market highlights strong opportunities in the future. One developing area of interest in the civil helicopter market is the movement from dedicated usage to multi-role consolidation, in particular in emerging markets.”
