JSfirm.com – ASA Partnership Announced

A Study in Symbiosis

JSfirm.com has partnered with aviation training product supplier Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) for purpose of affording job-seekers a comprehensive and expedient means by which to locate, review, and pursue opportunities within myriad aviation and aviation-related fields—directly on ASA’s website.

ASA marketing director Brian Snider stated: “ASA is excited to partner with JSfirm.com in providing this great resource to our customers with interest in aviation careers. In turn, we hope job-seekers find ASA to be a useful resource for advanced and continuing education.”

JSfirm.com executive director Abbey Hutter stated: “Brian and I connected previously but they were in the middle of a website overhaul. I was excited when he reached out recently and said they were ready! Our partnerships benefit all parties; companies get more visibility on their jobs; ASA provides a new added value/resource and their website traffic sees opportunities they may not have been aware of otherwise.”

ASA distributors utilizing JSfirm.com will receive discounted rates on new purchases by which to advertise their open positions.

Founded in 1940 as Merrell Aviation Ground School for the express purpose of training World War II military pilots returning from active duty to adapt their flying skills to the needs of early civilian airlines, the company known today as Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. (ASA) has had numerous and surprising incarnations.

In 1969, the goal of franchising the popular Merrell Ground School under the name Aviation Seminars of America—or ASA—compelled the company to change its name to Northwest School of Aviation.

In 1976, the appellation Aviation Supplies and Academics replaced Aviation Seminars of America as the name to which the ASA acronym alluded. The company’s product line broadened from plotters, regulations, and training manuals to include cassette-tape courses, new books, and increasingly modern training materials. Incorporation followed in 1977, as did a principal mission shift from retail to publishing and manufacturing.

In 1984, the sale of the Aviation Training and Research, Inc. ground school and The Aviator’s Store retail enterprise allowed ASA to ply the entirety of its resources and efforts to becoming a major supplier of pilot supplies and educational material in the United States. In 1985, the company undertook a series of relocations that ultimately landed it in western Washington State.

For more than eighty-years Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. has provided aviation training products to student pilots, flight instructors, career aviators, aviation mechanics, air traffic controllers, remote pilots, and drone operators.
