Dominion Aircraft Sales To Hold Open House Saturday At FCI

Seminars Include Learning The G1000

Dominion Aircraft Sales announced this week it will hold an open house on Saturday, March 1 from 10 am – 3 pm at its headquarters located at the Chesterfield County Airport (FCI) in Richmond, VA.

"The Richmond area is very active for general aviation pilots and aircraft owners and this open house will be a drawing card for people who are thinking about becoming a pilot or an aircraft owner," said Thomas T. "Mike" Mickel, Jr. CEO, Dominion Aircraft Sales and president and CEO of Dominion Aviation. "We’ll not only have the new Diamond aircraft on display, but it’s also a chance for prospective pilots to come meet our instructors and attend one of our free seminars."

Dominion Aircraft Sales will have a new Diamond DA20, DA40 XLS and DA42-TDI Twin Star on display.

"Each of the 2008 Diamonds represents the most advanced level of technology available," said John Armstrong, regional manager, Dominion Aircraft Sales. "From their striking looks, to the Garmin G1000 glass panels, to their unparalleled fuel efficiency -- these are the safest, most advanced and fun to fly light aircraft in the business."

Along with the new Diamonds on display, Dominion Aviation and Dominion Aircraft Sales will be hosting a series of four free educational seminars for pilots during the open house. The seminar schedule is as follows:

  • 10:00 am – Earning your Instrument Rating
  • 11:00 am – Garmin G1000 avionics
  • 12:00 pm – Ownership options and the new 2008 tax incentives
  • 1:00 pm –  Learning to fly

Door prizes include fun gifts and free demo flights in the new Diamond aircraft.

"We’re offering pilots and would-be pilots a group of seminars that will help answer all their questions about learning to fly, obtaining an advanced rating or owning an airplane," Mickel said. "I think one of the more timely seminars will be the lease back and financing seminar. The recently announced legislation and big tax breaks available to small business will make 2008 a very good time to buy a new airplane."

Dominion Aircraft Sales is the authorized reseller for new Diamond Aircraft through the Mid-Atlantic States including Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Kentucky. The company is a joint venture between Dominion Aviation and Premier Aircraft Sales.
