King Schools Announces Their Latest Sweepstakes Winner

Dale North Wins Glass-Equipped Cessna 172S

Just in time for Valentine's Day... here's some information one lucky flying couple LOVED hearing.

Dale North is the latest winner of the King Schools' "The Future Is Now" Sweepstakes aircraft, and is now the proud owner of a new Cessna 172S equipped with Garmin's G1000 panel.

"Wow ... I bought a King Commercial Pilot Knowledge Test Course for my husband, Phillip, as a birthday present and won an airplane!" North exclaimed, as she and husband picked up the Skyhawk at Montgomery Field in San Diego. "Now, I’m going to learn to fly."

Phillip, who currently owns and flies a Piper Navajo, said he plans to use the airplane to travel in conjunction with the business of his law firm, North, Pursell, Ramos & Jameson, P.L.C.

Only somewhat tongue-in-cheek, Phillip also encouraged his wife to buy more King courses for him... hoping lightning might strike twice. "After all, we know we’re lucky -- maybe we could win the next King sweepstakes too!" he said.

Speaking of that next sweepstakes, John King says his school will stick with another Skyhawk for 2009... but with a twist. "We are looking forward to giving away our next sweepstake prize, a G1000 172S with the fantastic Garmin GFC-700 autopilot," he said.

"It gets more fun every time we give away a Cessna Skyhawk," added King Schools co-founder Martha King.
