Vanguard Program Advisor Will Remain Anonymous
Careers in Aviation is pleased to
announce that the organization has received a generous $10,000
donation from the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program. An account
advisor to the endowment fund, who wished to remain anonymous,
recommended the grant.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to [the
Careers in Aviation] organization," said Benjamin R. Pierce,
Executive Director of the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program.
Per the advisor and Mr. Pierce, the money is to be used exclusively
in furtherance of the organization’s charitable purposes.
Judy Rice, President & CEO of Careers in Aviation, was
notified by the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program of the news
on January 28.
"To know that people want to help Careers in Aviation assist
students in achieving their dreams to be a part of the aviation
industry touches my heart." said Rice. "On behalf of Careers in
Aviation I would like to personally thank the anonymous advisor and
the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program for their very generous
contribution."
The Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program is a public charity
established to support and increase philanthropy across the United
States. The Program’s donor-advised fund promotes charitable
giving by working with individual and corporate donors seeking a
simple, low-cost way to coordinate their philanthropic planning.
While it was founded by Vanguard and shares many of its values, the
Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program is a separate, independent
organization governed by its own Board of Trustees.
Careers in Aviation advances aerospace education and employment
by fostering scholarships, by connecting students with available
assistance, and by encouraging the aviation industry, professional
associations, government agencies, and the educational community to
work together effectively supporting aviation and space career
development programs.
