Harrison Ford Finds Humor In Taxiway Landing

Incident Became A Topic At A Star Wars Event In Florida Thursday

Actor, pilot and aviation advocate Harrison Ford knows he made a mistake when he landed on a taxiway earlier this year at John Wayne airport in California. And with the investigation of the incident now closed, Ford is finding some humor in the situation.

Television station KUSA reports that, at a Star Wars celebration in Orlando, FL Thursday, Ford got some good-natured ribbing about the incident from moderator Warwick Davis.

"I can't believe we managed to keep it a secret, considering that you landed your plane on I-4," Davis poked, referencing the notoriously-traffic-jammed Interstate highway that runs through downtown Orlando.

"Yeah, but it was a good landing!" Ford deadpanned.

Later in the event, Star Wars creator recalled asking ford if he could fly when he was first cast for the role of Han Solo.

Ford went to a line from a different movie ... Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ... for his response. "Fly? Yeah. Land? No."

The quip drew large cheers from the audience.
