The Aircraft Electronics Association represents the many facets of the aviation avionics industry. While at EAA AirVenture 2016, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, talked with AEA’s Director of Communications, Geoff Hill, about the upcoming 2020 mandate for the installation of ADS-B Out equipment.
If you are an aircraft owner who is still in a quandary about how to handle the requirement for ADS-B Out, this is a video you need to pay attention to. Hill discusses the rebate program being offered by the FAA, and he also discusses discount plans being offered by various equipment manufacturers.
Of primary concern to the AEA is that if general aviation aircraft owners wait too long to install the equipment, they could find themselves in a position where the installation time will take them passed the FAA mandated date that requires the equipment. This video provides expert advice from someone who understands what’s going on regarding the ADS-B requirement.
