Boeing To Showcase Military, Commercial Offerings At Paris Air Show

Jet Airways Will Display Newest 777; F/A-18F Will Fly Daily

Boeing tells ANN the planemaker will highlight its full range of products and services -- that are producing record sales across commercial and defense markets -- at this year's Paris Air Show, beginning June 18 at Le Bourget airfield, north of the city.

"Boeing goes to Le Bourget with continued momentum and clear strategies in both our healthy defense systems and growing commercial airplane businesses," said Tom Downey, senior vice president, Communications. "Our backlog is at record levels, our financial performance is solid, and we are intensely focused on delivering on our promises to customers.

"Boeing people from across the company will be at the show to talk about our overall progress and underscore our continuing commitment to our customers, partners and suppliers," he added.

Boeing's defense showcase will feature a daily flying demonstrations by the F/A-18F Super Hornet. The company and its customers will also display the C-17 Globemaster III military transport, F-15E Eagle fighter jet, Harpoon missile, and the AH-64D Apache Longbow and CH-47 Chinook helicopters. Company officials also plan to give a presentation on development of the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor.

On the commercial side, Jet Airways, India's largest private airline, will display its recently delivered 777-300ER -- one of 10 777s ordered by the carrier -- in new livery. Boeing executives will also discuss current market conditions, and the upcoming July 8 rollout of the 787.

The 47th Annual Paris Air Show kicks off Monday, June 18 and runs through June 24.
