Corporate Angel Flights Set Record

CAN Transported 317 Patients In October

Corporate Angel Network, the organization that transports cancer patients to treatment in the empty seats of corporate jets, arranged to carry 317 patients in October, the largest number of monthly flights in its nearly-30-year history. In July, Corporate Angel flew 307 patients, a record for the organization until that time.

More than 35,000 flights have been scheduled since the charity's founding in 1981.  Corporate Angel works with physicians, corporate flight departments, and leading treatment centers to coordinate patient travel needs with the flight activity of participating corporations.

"This second record in the past three months is remarkable" said Peter Fleiss, Executive Director.  "It demonstrates the willingness of business aviation to help cancer patients through the use of this flexible and convenient transportation asset".

The charity has received numerous awards in recognition of its service to cancer patients including The Volunteer Action Award, the highest volunteer award from the President of the United States.
