Stevens Aviation Announces AML-STC For NXT-600 Transponder

Offers ADS-B Compliance For Several Aircraft

Stevens Aviation, Inc. has announced an Approved Model List (AML) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the NXT-600 Mode S Transponder, to provide Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) Out compliance for a wide range of legacy aircraft. The first article aircraft was a Citation 650 with a non-integrated avionics suite. The installation was completed by Stevens Aviation’s Dayton (KDAY) avionics team.  

The NXT-600 Mode S Transponder is Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) complaint and a form-factor replacement for the RCZ-852 Mode S Transponder, and an alternative replacement for the RCI TDR-94D. The AML-STC covers a range of airframe types and transponders with non-integrated avionics.

The complete installation includes:

  • Two NXT-600 Mode S Transponders
  • One standalone NXG-900 GPS receiver used for ADS-B Out or utilizing/upgrading the existing Universal WAAS FMS GPS, etc.
  • Complete AML/STC approved installation
  • Mandate compliance ADS-B Out
  • Quick turn installations, low downtime
