Tom Turner's Aero-Craft 101: Inspecting Your Own Airplane

You've made it. You own your very own airplane... but after the euphoria of that first solo flight in YOUR aircraft wears off (does it ever?) comes a somewhat less exhilarating reality: the onus is on you to keep that airplane maintained and airworthy.

Today, ANN's Aero-Craft expert, Tom Turner, talks about inspecting your own airplane... and says while knowing every nut and bolt of your aircraft is a very good thing, sometimes that familiarity can lead to a pilot overlooking some significant issues.

• ANN's Daily 'ASR' Feature Aero-Cast: ANN will be offering a Daily 'Aero-News Special Report.'
