Altitude Angel Shortlisted For The First CANSO Award Of Excellence In ATM

Winner Will Be Named On June 18

Altitude Angel, a provider of unmanned traffic management, (UTM), has been named as one of six shortlisted nominations, with partner Frequentis, for the first CANSO Award of Excellence in ATM for its ground-breaking integrated drone demonstration, Operation Zenith.

The awards ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday, June 18 as part the CANSO Global ATM Summit and 23rd Annual General Meeting, will celebrate the excellent work and initiatives from CANSO Members.  Individually and together, they provide the best possible view of progress and success across the broad spectrum of ATM today.

Six nominations out of 27 submitted made the short list.  Altitude Angel have subsequently been invited to give a 10-minute presentation in front of the CANSO judging jury on 18 June, ahead of the winner of the CANSO Award of Excellence in ATM being named later the same day.

"Operation Zenith was itself a huge undertaking, involving over 120 people from over 20 different partner companies," said Richard Parker, Altitude Angel, founder and CEO. "It was a true collaboration of industry, demonstrating major automated operations at a busy international airport, and I’m thrilled CANSO have recognized what we all achieved.

“I would also like to congratulate our fellow ‘short-listers’ for the great work they are doing in pushing the boundaries of ATM and we’re looking forward to showcasing the success of Operation Zenith to the jury in Geneva later this month.”
