Police, Paramedics Respond To Cessna Accident

Just One Small Problem...

Aero-News is happy to report that no one was injured in this weekend's downing of a small Cessna in Vancouver, B.C.

And when we say the plane was a "small" Cessna, we're not commenting on the limited elbow room in a 150; we mean small... as the aircraft was a five-foot long model airplane.

The revelation of the plane's true size came as a relief to police and rescue crews who responded to witness reports that an airplane had gone down Sunday afternoon.

"We sent all our cars down there thinking there was a small ultra-light or a small plane that had crashed," said Corporal Steven Han of the Surrey RCMP to the Canadian Press, "but after going there we determined it was a model Cessna."

A woman and her son reportedly saw the model come down, and called 911 to report a plane crash. The incident led several media outlets to also report that a plane had gone down, according to the CP.

While the aircraft was a model, according to its owner the plane suffered a full-size problem: engine failure.
