Tecnam Finetunes An Already Accomplished Product Line With A Low-Wing Design
At Sun ‘n Fun 2014 ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, takes a look at the new Tecnam Astore. Tom meets up with Phil Solomon, a sales agent for Tecnam U.S.A., and asks what’s so different about the Astore.
Solomon said that Tecnam has been known for their airplanes that are heavily used at training schools, and this airplane was intended as an upgrade follow-on. He points out the larger cockpit, baggage compartment, and the unique way the sliding canopy operates.
He describes the Astore as a high-end airplane of a more luxurious nature. It provides an upgrade for the person who has flown and learned to like their high-wing trainers but wants a more personalized traveling airplane when the training is completed.
Tom also had the chance to talk with Shannon Yeager, the director of sales for Tecnam U.S.A. Yeager explains that Tecnam is expanding its operation in Lakeland Florida to include a facility that can provide major service for the Tecnam line of airplanes.
This video provides lots of information about what’s going on at Tecnam and how they’re moving to better serve their customers.
